 2010 | 2009 | 2008 2012  09 January 2012Counterfeit refrigerant warning As you may already be aware due to the recent news reports, it has been brought to Mexichem´s attention that tainted or counterfeit R-134a refrigerant that was added to a refrigeration system in Vietnam has led to a number of explosions and fatalities. We understand that an investigation by Maersk Line is under way and early results from several joint investigations, including refrigeration unit manufacturers and external reefer specialists, confirm suspicions that the cause of the explosions was contaminated gas in the cooling units. We feel it is important to let you know that there is no indication that would suggest any KLEA® products were involved in this incident.
